Every Baby Deserves a Well Mother.
When a baby is born, a mother is born too.
Yet while we celebrate new life, we too often overlook the woman who brought that life into the world.
A mother's wellbeing is not separate from her child's wellbeing.
Research consistently shows that a mother's emotional, physical, and relational health profoundly influences her child's development, attachment, and lifelong wellbeing. When mothers are deeply supported, children are more likely to thrive, families become more resilient, and communities grow stronger.
For generations, mothers were nourished.
Meals were prepared.
Homes were tended.
Babies were held.
Women were surrounded by grandmothers, sisters, neighbors, and skilled caregivers who understood that how a mother is cared for after birth shapes the health of her family for years to come.
Much of that wisdom has been lost.

Today, many mothers return home within days of giving birth to recover largely on their own. Exhaustion has become expected. Isolation has become commonplace. The village has quietly disappeared.
We believe there is a better way.
Honoring the miracle of life begins by honoring the mother who brought that life into the world.
That is why The Mothers Hive Institute exists.
OUR PURPOSE
The Future of Maternal Health Begins With
How We Care for Mothers
For thousands of years, communities understood that welcoming a new baby also meant caring for the woman who had given birth.
When mothers were nourished, families flourished.
Today, many women leave the hospital within days and return home to sleepless nights, isolation, and the quiet expectation that they should simply "figure it out."
We believe mothers deserve better.
Not because they are weak.
But because motherhood was never meant to be carried alone.
At The Mothers Hive Institute™, we believe postpartum care is one of the greatest opportunities we have to strengthen families, improve lifelong maternal health, and influence generations to come.
“Supporting mothers is not simply an act of compassion, It is one of the wisest investments we can make in the future of our communities.”

Strengthening Mothers. Transforming Generations.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Honoring the Miracle of Life Begins by Honoring Mothers.
At The Mothers Hive Institute™, everything we teach begins with one foundational belief: Every child is a miracle.
And when we truly honor the miracle of life, we are naturally moved to honor the woman through whom that life entered the world. Motherhood is one of God's greatest gifts, and birth is one of His most profound invitations into transformation. The weeks that follow are far more than a period of physical recovery. They are a holy season of integration — the gradual weaving together of a woman's body, mind, heart, relationships, and identity after the profound rebirth that motherhood brings.
We believe postpartum is where a woman begins making sense of everything that has changed. It is where birth is integrated, confidence is restored, attachment is nurtured, and a new identity is formed. How she is cared for during this season echoes throughout the rest of her life.
When mothers are nourished, rested, emotionally supported, and held with wisdom, they are far more likely to emerge rooted rather than depleted, connected rather than isolated, and confident rather than overwhelmed.
Because when a mother flourishes, everyone she loves benefits.
Her Health
A foundation for lifelong wellbeing—not simply recovery.
Her Child
Secure attachment and the best possible start in life.
Her Relationships
Greater presence, connection, and stability within the family.
Her Legacy
Healthier homes and stronger generations for years to come.

WHY THIS INSTITUTE EXISTS
The Calling That Changed Everything

In May of 2020, during the first COVID quarantine and far from family, I gave birth to my first daughter.
Like so many women, I imagined those first weeks would be filled with grandmothers, sisters, neighbors, and friends gathering to celebrate new life.
Instead, I entered motherhood in isolation.
Although my husband loved me deeply, he couldn't fully understand the transformation I was experiencing. More than anything, I longed to be held by women who had walked this road before me.
As I held my newborn daughter, one thought kept returning to me:
This isn't how mothers were meant to begin.
Not unseen.
Not unsupported.
Not expected to navigate the greatest initiation of their lives without a village.
Years earlier, my work as a therapist had already revealed something profound. Many women weren't simply struggling emotionally — they had never been deeply seen, honored, or supported through the very seasons that shape a woman's lifelong wellbeing.
I realized we have forgotten the importance of rites of passage.
When life's greatest transitions are no longer honored, people lose more than tradition.
They lose meaning.
Motherhood is perhaps the greatest rite of passage a woman will ever experience. Yet today, it is often rushed, overlooked, and left largely unsupported.
As I slowly integrated my own birth experience and embraced the rebirth of my identity as a mother, I realized postpartum isn't simply about healing the body. It is a season of integration. A season of weaving together a woman's body, mind, heart, relationships, faith, and identity after one of life's greatest transformations.
That realization forever changed the course of my life's work.
I came to believe something that has become the foundation of everything we teach at The Mothers Hive Institute™:
It is rarely the mother who is failing. More often, it is the absence of the village around her.
Most mothers have never been taught how to regulate their own nervous systems—the very foundation for helping their children develop secure attachment and emotional resilience.
The problem is not mothers. The problem is that the ancient art of caring for mothers has quietly been lost. That realization became the seed of The Mothers Hive™.
Over the past six years, it has been my privilege to support hundreds of mothers through postpartum care, therapeutic nourishment, education, and community.
But eventually I realized something else. No matter how many mothers I personally served, the need would always be greater than one person could meet. I realized my life's work wasn't simply to care for mothers. It was to raise the women who would.

That is why I founded The Mothers Hive Institute™—to equip a new generation of Postpartum Wellness Practitioners™ who will carry this work into homes, hospitals, birth centers, churches, and communities around the world. Because where mothers are honored, families flourish.

Here to support postpartum mothers

OUR APPROACH
The World Doesn't Just Need More Experts.
It Needs Practitioners Equipped to Truly Care.
Many postpartum training focuses primarily on the physical aspects of recovery.
While that knowledge is essential, we believe mothers deserve an education that also honors the emotional, psychological, relational, and spiritual transformation of becoming a mother.
That's why our interdisciplinary certification thoughtfully weaves together maternal psychology, attachment theory, nervous system regulation, nourishment, timeless postpartum wisdom, and practical hands-on care into one cohesive framework.
Because mothers don't experience postpartum in pieces.
Their care shouldn't be taught that way.
We equip Postpartum Wellness Practitioners™ to confidently care for the whole mother — physically, emotionally, psychologically, relationally, and spiritually — through one of the greatest transformations of her life.

THE FIRST TO SAY YES
Meet Our Founding Cohort
When we welcomed the very first class of Postpartum Wellness Practitioners™ in 2024, our vision was simple:
To restore the lost art of postpartum care by equipping women with the wisdom, confidence, and practical skills to care for mothers with excellence—and to cultivate a lifelong fellowship of practitioners committed to honoring the miracle of life for generations to come.
The women who joined us became more than students.
They became the foundation of a movement.
Many completed the certification while pregnant, breastfeeding, or raising babies of their own. They showed up with open hearts, a desire to serve, and a deep love for motherhood. Today, they are carrying this work into their families, churches, communities, and the lives of the mothers they serve.
Here's what they had to say about their experience.

Ashley Button
"When I am fully ready to serve mothers during the holy postpartum season, I feel ready thanks to this course."
After experiencing postpartum care through The Mothers Hive herself, Ashley felt called to become the kind of practitioner every new mother deserves.
"Taking a certification while postpartum myself was no small undertaking, yet Brandilyn created an experience that felt deeply nourishing rather than overwhelming. Every class offered practical wisdom, thoughtful guidance, and invaluable teaching from exceptional guest faculty. Beginning each session with grounding and reflection reminded us that caring for mothers begins by learning to care for ourselves. I know I'll continue returning to these lessons throughout my life."

"Even if I weren't becoming a practitioner, I would still take this certification for the education alone."
"The curriculum is incredibly comprehensive and beautifully curated. We studied nourishing food preparation, Ayurveda, nervous system regulation, prenatal and perinatal psychology, lactation support, and so much more. The intimate cohort fostered genuine friendships and meaningful conversations, and I felt fully supported every step of the way. I have such deep respect for Brandilyn and the vision she has brought to life through The Mothers Hive."
Angelique Espinoza

Tayler Ansel
"The curriculum is unlike anything I've seen in any other postpartum training."
"This certification exceeded every expectation. It wasn't simply professional training—it was personally transformative. Beyond learning practical postpartum care, I developed a much deeper understanding of the reverence every mother deserves after birth. The curriculum beautifully integrates Eastern traditions, Western research, psychology, attachment theory, and the spiritual dimension of becoming a mother. I left feeling inspired, equipped, and deeply connected to this work. This is more than a certification—it's part of restoring honor to motherhood."

Courtney Crowley
"The certification exceeded my expectations in every way."
"From Brandilyn's wisdom to the extraordinary guest faculty and the beautiful community of women, every part of this experience was exceptional. I completed the certification while caring for my seven-month-old from home, and the format made it completely manageable. The curriculum goes far beyond practical postpartum care—it teaches you how to truly support a mother physically, emotionally, psychologically, relationally, and spiritually. Having recently experienced my own postpartum, this program helped me integrate my journey in a profoundly meaningful way. I graduated feeling confident, deeply supported, and excited to begin serving other mothers."
